What is it?

Group Exercise is a fun, energetic and uplifting environment. Great for if you hate exercising on your own.

VFJ Pilates currently delivers various Pilates based classes live online via Zoom for 30 minutes and face to face in Great Harwood for 20 - 45 minutes.

Classes are either tailored to a specific need or idea - such as Healthy Spine Pilates and Interval Pilates, or are a more generic Fitness Pilates class.

Classes no longer live on our timetable can be purchased via an online on demand membership.

What do I need?

LIVE ONLINE - you will need suitable footwear for the type of floor in your exercise space or bare feet. You need to wear something comfortable that you can move and sweat in. The space needed will be dependent on the class so see the individual descriptions.

Equipment needed - A mat if you have it but it's not essential. If we use equipment you will need to provide your own, for Pilates you can use things you have around the house. Please see individual class descriptions for more information about equipment. Zoom dowloaded to your device.

FACE TO FACE - we use the hall at the school and it has a cushioned floor. You will need suitable footwear, socks or bare feet depending on which class you are attending. You need to wear something comfortable that you can move and sweat in - skirts and dresses not recommended in a public environment.

Equipment needed - You will need your own mat. Please feel free to bring your own blankets and cushions if you need padding for sore knees and your own yoga blocks if you have trouble sitting on the floor in anyway. Most other equipment will be provided unless you wish to use your own.

ALL - Everyone will need a FREE bronze membership on the VFJ Pilates website to complete the health questionnaires. Please ensure you have filled out the health questionnaire and emergency contact form prior to the commencement of the class.

Who is it for?

Ideal for anyone with stiffness, tightness or weakness in their back. Anyone wanting to improve core strength and posture and increase flexibility. Anyone wanting to move more, exercise and de-stress.

Who is it not for?

Anyone who has any condition that is prohibitive to exercise without prior medical authorisation. Please make sure you have consulted with your doctor prior to participating in any form of exercise.

Other Info

Anyone booking onto a live online class will receive a video of the class available to view up until the day of the next class. Feel free to repeat as many times as you would like.
