Bespoke Classes

Built Around Your Group

Custom group sessions designed for health, performance, or well-being, tailored to your group’s unique needs. Suitable for sports clubs, community groups, or special interest groups. Classes evolve as your group’s goals and abilities develop.

These customised group sessions, such as those for sports teams or community groups, are designed for clients with specific needs or performance goals that cannot be met in a general class or standard small group setting. For example, sessions may be arranged for groups with multiple medical conditions, requiring a significantly slower pace and gentler exercises.

Pilates has been recognised by Sport England and the British Journal of Sports Medicine as highly beneficial for athletes, with benefits including "enhancing core stability, flexibility, and posture." According to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Pilates helps with "injury prevention by addressing muscle imbalances and promoting proper alignment." The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences notes that incorporating Pilates into training routines provides athletes with "a holistic approach to physical development and performance."

Pilates is also recommended by the MS Trust for improving posture, muscle tone, balance, and joint mobility, which can support those with multiple sclerosis. Complete Pilates, a UK-based studio, highlights that Pilates is effective for individuals managing osteoarthritis by improving "joint mobility and muscle strength." These benefits also extend to back care, supporting spinal health and reducing discomfort. According to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, Pilates is beneficial for people with Parkinson's disease as it focuses on stability, mobility, and modifiable movement transferable to daily life. Fibromyalgia Research UK highlights that Pilates can improve balance, mobility, and muscle strength, leading to improvements in cognitive symptoms and quality of life for individuals managing fibromyalgia.

Specialist Approach
My approach combines knowledge of Pilates and movement science with practical experience of working with diverse groups.

I have experience designing sessions for both recreational and athletic groups, with expertise in:
• Inclusive group classes tailored for health conditions or mobility needs.
• Higher-intensity sessions designed for performance enhancement or sport-specific training.
• Adaptable structures that ensure all participants feel supported and comfortable.

What to Expect
Each class is designed around the group's needs and may include anything from gentle mobility work to dynamic strength and conditioning sessions depending on the group:
• A slower, gentler pace with simple transitions.
• The use of props such as chairs, cushions, and yoga blocks to assist with movement and floor work.
• Exercises tailored to build confidence, mobility, and comfort.
• Progression over time as the group’s ability and confidence develop.
Please note: These sessions are typically suitable for up to 6 participants to ensure quality instruction and individual attention. Larger groups may be accommodated by special arrangements.

Who is this for?
These classes are ideal for both health-focused and performance-oriented groups, such as amateur sports teams or running clubs. They are also suitable for:
• Groups with mixed abilities or medical conditions.
• Those looking for a supportive environment that adapts to individual limitations.
• Anyone who prefers a gentler class focused on mobility and wellbeing.
• Community organisations or local groups looking for tailored, ongoing sessions.
• Team sports clubs or athletic groups looking to enhance performance through focused training.
