Sleep Deprivation

Sleep deprivation is no laughing matter.


It can have serious mental and physical health repercussions.


We have compiled a list of as many signs and symptoms that we could find. The list is extensive. However it is important you realise it may not be complete. Please check with a health profession if you are not sure.

Signs and symptoms.

  • Yawning

  • Irritability

  • Fatigue

  • Depression

  • Moodiness

  • Forgetfulness

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Increased appetite

  • Clumsiness

  • Reduced sex drive

  • Lack of motivation

  • Increased illness

  • Headaches

  • Difficulty driving

  • Type two diabetes

  • Aching muscles

  • Development of false memory

  • Eye bags

  • Increased risk of fibromyalgia

  • Increased blood pressure

  • Increased stress hormone levels

  • Temer tantrums in children

  • Mania

  • Violent behavior

  • Confusion

  • Hand tremor

  • Malaise

  • Styes on the eyes
